| Happy birthday (just a bit late!) |
[May. 18th, 2008|09:05 am] |
Hey Sarah,
Sorry, I did not get a chance to drop you a note to wish you a happy birthday on the real day, but I hope you had a wonderful day!
Take care! Chuck |

| Wow, that's blue! |

|
| Well, it was a start.. |
[May. 23rd, 2007|10:41 pm] |
| [ | mood |
| | amused | ] | Today was actually not that horrible. Of course, I set a pretty low standard! I'm the den leader for my youngest son's Cub Scout group and I had such great plans for today's meeting (it was our last one for the school year).
I know I've not been a seven or eight or nine year old boy in.. well, awhile. But, boy, keeping them on a task was much harder tonight than it has been. Must be spring fever! It's not like they objected to running around like wild Indians (in fact, I think they rather liked it!). So there I was, just saying "give me patience!"
I'm sure the boys thought our last den meeting was a great success! |

| I really don't like days like today.. |
[May. 22nd, 2007|10:21 pm] |
| [ | mood |
| | distressed | ] | Ok, so I knew it would be a long day (and if you know that at the start, it's such a bummer to be proven right)..
Non-stop meetings at work, and my oldest son is having issues with his history class. I've always loved history -- I think it was one of my best subjects when I was growing up. For whatever reason, my son doesn't seem to have that same level of interest. It's a bummer for him, because he will likely get to go to summer school to do the class over again. And, it's a bummer for my wife & me, as it means we have to adjust our summer plans so he can take the class over again.
The good news is that tomorrow looks much better! Hopefully, I'll be right again. Really! |

| One of those days... |
[May. 21st, 2007|10:13 pm] |
| [ | mood |
| | rushed | ] | Everyone always says how crummy Mondays can be. Today sure felt like that today! I felt like I was running on an ever-increasing treadmill, with someone pelting me with mudballs or something equally yucky. The good news is that the day eventually ENDED! :-D
My parents are visiting, and that's actually not too bad, though I wish I could be off work to do more with them. However, my folks are nice and mellow and say how much they like the peace & quiet. I'm waiting to see the new preview of OotP that I found here:
http://www.emmawatson-fans.com/NewsPosters/dook/Ellen-OotP-070521.avi
It sure looks like a great film (and I'm not even being paid specifically by WB to say that, though they do pay me for other things :-) ).
Tomorrow looks like an even busier day, so if I'm frazzled now, I'm sure I'll be mega-frazzled tomorrow night! Hopefully, I'll get to the end of the day and laugh at how un-frazzled I am. Sure.. it could happen! |

|
| Not quite sure what this means.. |
[May. 21st, 2007|12:21 am] |
| [ | mood |
| | hopeful | ] | ... but, I seem to have the most inspiration to write LJ entries late at night (like now)! I'm guessing that's not too unusual, right? I think it must also be my way of escaping thinking about tomorrow (since it looks like it will be very busy, and probably stressful). Of course, my staying up this late will certainly make it all the more interesting, eh?
So, anyway, I keep saying that I'll write more entries in my LJ (and I made that promise back in September). Hopefully, I'll do a better job of it now! |

| HP Quiz |
[Oct. 29th, 2006|11:24 pm] |
Well, I took a Harry Potter quiz just now and about all I can say for sure is that I didn't cheat! I think I'm going to find an easier one now! :-) |

| I'm one slow LJ'er |
[Sep. 12th, 2006|10:26 pm] |
It's funny -- I only seem to write on my LJ late at night. But hey, now I have a userpic!
Now I just have to find some time to play further and start writing entries more often! |

It was fun at work as folks I didn't know know my birthday wished me a happy day :-)..
That, and it is finally not as bloody hot as it's been lately!
Maybe this weekend, I'll get caught up on my reviews on Portkey!
Hi herminia! :-) |

| I took that personality quiz.. |
[Jul. 14th, 2006|10:01 pm] |
| [ | mood |
| | curious | ] | Wow, my first actual entry..
I'm not sure if I believe that personality thing, though.. here's what it said:
| You Are An ISFJ | The Nurturer
You have a strong need to belong, and you very loyal. A good listener, you excell at helping others in practical ways. In your spare time, you enjoy engaging your senses through art, cooking, and music. You find it easy to be devoted to one person, who you do special things for.
You would make a good interior designer, chef, or child psychologist. |
It is interesting, though.. :-) Thanks, herminia, for the suggestion :-) |
